Hazard’s Ramp is a boat launching ramp for registered, trailer-towed boats under 24 feet in length, jet skis, and for launch of car-top boats. Hazard’s Ramp is located directly beneath the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Vehicle access is through the Ross Dock Picnic Area.
GPS: 40.851889, -73.959714
Only vehicles with trailers or with visible roof racks are allowed to park at the Hazard’s parking area. Trailers are not permitted to be parked in the Ross Dock Picnic Area parking area.
It is recommended that vehicles with trailers use the Edgewater park entrance to travel to and from Hazard’s Ramp:
- To get to Hazard’s Ramp from the Edgewater park entrance on River Road at the Fort Lee border: Take Henry Hudson Drive about 1 mi. north to the circle at the Ross Dock entrance road. Bear right from the circle and down to the entrance to Ross Dock Picnic Area. After entering Ross Dock, turn right (south) and follow the roadway toward the George Washington Bridge and on to Hazard’s Ramp.
- To get to the Edgewater park entrance from eastbound Routes 4 & 46 and northbound I-95: Take the exit for Fort Lee (Exit 72 for I-95 local, Exit 73 for I-95 express). Continue straight (east) on Bruce Reynolds Boulevard through several traffic lights (essentially, this is the service road for the highways approaching the George Washington Bridge). Turn right at the last traffic light (before the entrance to Fort Lee Historic Park) to go south on Hudson Terrace. Edgewater park entrance will be on your left (east).
