Fishing & Crabbing
Information on this page current as of November 02, 2007

Fishing and crabbing are permitted along the seawalls and shoreline of the Hudson within the NJ Section, anywhere signs are not posted prohibiting these activities, including our five riverfront picnic areas and along the length of the Shore Trail (please remember that our trails are "carry in–carry out": all trash must be carried back out with you).

Licenses are not required, but NJ State fishing regulations are in effect and enforced.

Common species caught along the Palisades include catfish, striped bass, white perch, tomcod, eels, and blue-claw crabs.
