To accommodate those wishing to place a memorial for a loved one in the park, we offer two styles of benches from which to choose, one with a backrest, the other without. Both benches are made of natural wood with sturdy metal footing. The designs were selected to blend into the park setting along the Palisades.
Included in the cost is a memorial brass plaque placed on the bench, inscribed with a message of your choice.
A bench with a backrest can be installed for $1,100. A bench without a backrest can be installed for $900.
The memorial plaque will be 2-½ inches by 10 inches, with a message of up to three lines with approx. 25 characters on each line. The message will be inscribed subject to review by the Commission.
We will try to honor your wishes for where you would like the bench to be placed, pending park management considerations, or you may allow us to select the most appropriate place.
- Please note that after a bench is installed, the Commission cannot be responsible for replacement should the bench be damaged or destroyed.
- To make arrangements for placing a memorial bench, please call or email Chris Szeglin, Assistant Superintendent: 201 768-1360 ext. 103 | email@example.com.
