Alpine Pavilion Reservation Calendar

Alpine Pavilion is an historic, open-air, covered stone picnic pavilion built in 1934 at the north end of Alpine Picnic Area that is today used for both park-sponsored and private functions. Public restrooms are on the ground floor (these are wheelchair accessible and must remain open to the general public during private events). The second-floor picnic space is not wheelchair-accessible. Maximum capacity is 125 people, including children.

Rental Contracts for Alpine Pavilion are issued from April 15 – November 15. Permits are not issued on holidays and holiday weekends (groups over 25 are prohibited in the park on these days).

The Construction of Alpine Pavilion

Learn about our pavilion and how it was constructed during the Great Depression! The park employed both WPA and CCC programs during the New Deal initiatives to feed unemployed young men.

Site Tour of Alpine Picnic Area

NOTE: Alpine Pavilion is not a “venue” — it is part of a public park!

The Pavilion restrooms and the surrounding area will be open to the general public throughout your event.

Before deciding if Alpine Pavilion is the right setting for your party or event, you should visit the site during a time similar to when you are considering a permit.
