Alpine Picnic Area
Alpine Picnic Area is a scenic riverfront picnic area in Alpine, New Jersey. It is also the site of Alpine Grove, Alpine Pavilion, and the historic Kearney House.
At the northern end of Henry Hudson Drive, Alpine Picnic Area features picnic tables, some grills, restrooms, water, and waste receptacles. Grounds are open year-round. Restrooms may be closed in winter.
Metered parking is in effect at Alpine Picnic Area from April through October. The park’s riverfront areas are NOT served by public transportation — visitors may need to consider rideshare or similar services.

Alpine Pavilion
At the north end of Alpine Picnic Area, is an open-air stone picnic pavilion that is available for use by groups by permit.
Kearney House
The historic Kearney House was a 19th-century homestead and Hudson River tavern that today serves as a living-history museum. It is open weekends from May-November.
The Yonkers Ferry | 1939
The John J. Walsh, a futuristic-looking ferryboat employed by the Yonkers Ferry, departs from Alpine in 1939. Many thousands of visitors used to come to the park by ferry each year.
Alpine Marina, LLC
The Alpine Boat Basin is an independently operated public marina adjacent to Alpine Picnic Area. It is operated under a lease agreement with Alpine Marina, LLC.
