The Palisades of the Hudson

Englewood Picnic Area is a scenic riverfront picnic area in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.

Near the southern end of Henry Hudson Drive, Englewood Picnic Area features picnic tables, some grills (visitors may bring their own), restrooms, water, and waste receptacles, as well as access for fishing and crabbing and to our trail system. Bloomer’s Beach at the north end of the picnic area can be used for car-top boat launching (paddlers must be able to carry their boats and equipment from the parking area to the beach).

Spread along almost half a mile of Hudson shoreline with a small playground and access to the old Bloomer’s Beach area at the north end, Englewood tends to fill up right after Ross Dock does — again, plan ahead!

Crowds enjoy cooling off at Bloomer’s Beach in the summer of 1932 — one of several bathing beaches operated by the park at that time.
