Carpenter’s Grove is a small picnic area that can be reserved for picnics and basic park activities. See a calendar of available dates & find more information. When you are ready to reserve your date: Download the Carpenter’s Grove Picnic Permit application.

Groups of 25 or more using the main picnic areas in the park require a Picnic Permit. Download a Picnic Permit application, including more information and restrictions. Note: Group Picnic Permits are not being issued for Englewood Picnic Area at this time due to ongoing repair from Hurricane Ida.

Group Use Permits are for special events that involve groups of 25 or more or if special accommodations are needed, regardless of group size. Download a Group Use Permit application, including more information and restrictions.

Parkway Travel Permits are only issued for groups that are using the Palisades Interstate Parkway to transport students or children to or from a school or camp, or when transporting students or children on an educational or cultural fieldtrip in vehicles seating 15 or more passengers. Download a Parkway Travel Permit application, including more information and restrictions.

Important notes about Parkway Travel Permits:

• This permit is issued for schools or camps located in New Jersey ONLY. For schools or camps located in New York or if you are traveling to the New York sections of the Palisades Interstate Park system, please call 845-271-5743.
• Groups visiting the park by bus under a GROUP USE or PICNIC PERMIT do not need to complete a PARKWAY TRAVEL PERMIT to travel the Parkway (a bus placard will be issued with the associated permit).
