Picnic Permit
Groups of 25 or more using the main picnic areas in the park require a Picnic Permit. Click here to download a Picnic Permit application, including more information and restrictions. Note: Group Picnic Permits are not being issued for Englewood Picnic Area at this time due to ongoing repair from Hurricane Ida.
Group Use Permit
Group Use Permits are for special events that involve groups of 25 or more or if special accommodations are needed, regardless of group size. Click here to download a Group Use Permit application, including more information and restrictions.
Parkway Travel Permit
Parkway Travel Permits are only issued for groups that are using the Palisades Interstate Parkway to transport students or children to or from a school or camp, or when transporting students or children on an educational or cultural fieldtrip in vehicles seating 15 or more passengers. Important notes about Parkway Travel Permits:
- Groups coming by bus to park areas in the Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey need to obtain a separate Park permit (see above), depending upon the nature of their event — a bus placard will be issued with these permits.
- This permit is issued for schools or camps located in New Jersey ONLY. For schools or camps located in New York or if you are traveling to the New York sections of the Palisades Interstate Park system, please call 845-786-2701 ext. 232.
Photography & Filming Permit
Permits are not required for park visitors collecting images for personal use within the Park using a single camera or recording device during regular park hours. Many other types of photography and filming require permits — click here to find out more.
